EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW

The Sukulu Rhino Experience

A half-day trip from Livingstone or Victoria Falls into a private conservation reserve, where you'll track rhino on foot, watch them feed at close range, and learn how a once-degraded stretch of land was turned into a thriving wildlife sanctuary. It's one of the few places in the region where you can get this close to rhino outside a vehicle.

The story of Sukulu

Bringing Rhino back to Sukulu

Sukulu is a 20,000-hectare private nature reserve in southern Zambia, close to the Kazungula quadripoint and about an hour's drive from Livingstone and Victoria Falls. It was established in 2011 by Dries Scholtz and is home to a wide range of African wildlife, from Cape buffalo down to the small Oribi antelope. White rhino were reintroduced to the reserve in 2021, starting with eleven animals — a number that's since grown to 31.
