Victoria Falls is a waterfall located on the Zambezi River, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The local Tonga people call it “Mosi-oa-Tunya,” which means “The Smoke That Thunders.” The falls are approximately 1.7 kilometers wide and have a height of around 108 meters. The mist created by the falls can be seen from a great distance, and they are a popular tourist attraction in southern Africa.
