Neither words nor pictures seem able to do it justice. You are simply going to have to experience it for yourself!

The Bakota Gorge drops some 226 metres down from the lodge. This provides the perfect viewing point down onto Rapids 16 and 17 on the river, less than 11km from Victoria Falls. This makes for a great spectator sport - watching the adventurous white water rafts and kayaks attempt to navigate their way carefully through these rapids.

From your chalet, the paths weave their way across the plateau linking them to the lodge's central living area, viewing deck, swimming pool, dining area and bar. You'll want to take your time and take in the scenery around you.

In the evenings, guests can relax with a sundowner and watch as the sun sets over the gorge, maybe enjoying the seclusion of our intimate little "nook" lounge or sharing stories around the warming campfire.
